This year marked a new level of engagement for IEL at the centennial meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA). AERA’s theme was “Public Scholarship to Educate Diverse Democracies.” IEL hosted a pre-conference workshop about what it means to be community scholars and use activist scholarship and an AERA presidential site visit that gave
