Zipporah Olukanni

Zipporah joined IEL in December of 2022. As a program associate, Zipporah is responsible for ongoing administrative and logistic support for the staff and initiatives at IEL. Currently, she supports the Ready to Achieve Mentoring Program, the Virginia Career Pathways project, and IEL’s portfolio youth leadership programming.

Before joining IEL, Zipporah held a variety of internships in the New York City metro and D.C. metro area. Her recent internship was with the Equal Rights Amendment Coalition where she had the opportunity to work as a Policy Intern. She learned many important facts about the Equal Rights Amendment that she hopes to share with her peers and colleagues. Zipporah has always had a passion for serving others. In life she wants to serve the underserved, underprivileged, and underrepresented

Zipporah graduated from Howard University in May 2021 with a B.A. in Political Science. During Zipporah’s time at Howard, she served as First Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Alpha Chapter, and was a member of Howard University African Student Association, Howard University Student Association, and the Howard University College of Democrats.
