“Gabe is a wonderful student and is such a kind and gentle character. Usually when asked a direct question during sessions, he smiles shyly but always puts his best effort to participate in RAMP. It has been a long-term goal for Gabe to get a job. So he has been making the effort to build up his general work skills. After participating in a work experience in June 2023, we noticed a development in his confidence and communication skills. Throughout the 3 days, he spent time at the front desk answering phone calls, talking with clients and practicing transferring them to their direct party extension. Even within that short timeframe, he became confident enough to volunteer to complete that work task. He was so excited when he received his paycheck, which we believe gave him even more reaffirmation of his personal capability and success.”
