“RAMP has been working with this youth for the last school year and she had never seemed to be interested in RAMP. She would complete the tasks given but when it came to opening up during session, the youth would shut down. Toward the end of the year, the youth completed her transition plan and IMP, alone. From the outside, it didn’t seem like she knew what career path she wanted to take. After looking over her IMP and transition plans – that is not the case. I reached out over the summer to see if she was interested in doing some career exploration field trips and she was very excited to hear from RAMP and she immediately was interested in exploring career paths into interior design and becoming a film director. Coordinator and youth have plans to explore local colleges over the summer.”
