RAMP Success Story: A.P. A.

RAMP Success Story: A.P. A.

A.P. A. was referred to the RAMP by the school social worker, and she wanted to become a beautician. At the beginning of her RAMP journey, A.P. A. was reluctant to engage in group sessions. After regularly checking with her mentor and program coordinator, she became more confident. As she became more comfortable with the people surrounding her, A.P. A. fully engaged in all group sessions and got other students to engage in the sessions. She has looked into Cosmetology schools and will apply when she completes high school. A.P. A. said to her peers and mentor: “I enjoy being in the group and am happy I am not shy like I was in the beginning.”
