The Georgia Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, Inc. currently administers the statewide Georgia High School High Tech (HSHT) program. Currently, the HSHT program is serving 3084 students in 197 high schools and 115 school systems across the state. At the end of December, students across the state had participated in 9327 transition activities. The primary focus of the HSHT program is to ensure that the students graduate from high school and are aware of post-secondary and employment opportunities after graduation. Last school year, the students that participated in the Georgia HSHT program had a 92.6% graduation rate. In 2016, the Georgia Committee was recognized internationally for their work in the area of transition for youth and was asked to present their program at the Zero Project conference at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria.

The Ready to Achieve Mentoring Program will be serving students in three of the school systems that also participate in HSHT: Columbia, Franklin and Bulloch counties. Students with disabilities struggle after graduation from high school as they do not have the supports that are provided to them in high school and are not comfortable advocating for themselves. The students in the RAMP program will receive individual and group mentoring as outlined in the program to assist them with identifying their abilities, getting comfortable advocating for themselves, and developing a step by step plan to accomplish their post-secondary education and career goals. The weekly career focused meetings and weekly career goals are designed to assist the students with reaching their individual career goals. These additional services will be valuable support services for these students. The Georgia site has a full time RAMP Coordinator, Sandra McBride, and a RAMP assistant, Mallory Peek.
