We design for impact. Our collaborative approach is focused on building sustainable leadership capacity that outlasts our presence.  Bringing multiple IEL resources to bear in targeted geographic communities allows us to deepen our impact.

Programming and Engagement

IEL developed and co-designed various programming to engage, support, and mobilize leaders at all levels. In FY22, among all engaged leaders, 2,476 IEL program/session participants provided their locations.

Policy by the People

IEL Policy Initiatives: FY22 (justice scale). In June 2022, IEL sent an updated letter with close to 200 organizationsal sign-on to the HIll urging Congress to fund the Full-Sevice Community Schools program at $468million for FY 2023 to match the President's budget request. IEL team members accompanied U.S> Department of Education Deputy Secratery Cindy Marten on a site visit to Griffith STEAM Magnet Middle School to better learn about the success of Comunity SChools on students, teachers, parents, and community members.
