The IEL-led National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth) released its latest publication on the use of individualized learning plans. The report, entitled Use of Individualized Learning Plans: A Promising Practice for Driving College and Career Readiness Efforts: Findings and Recommendations from a Multi-Method, Multi-Study Effort, summarizes NCDW/Youth’s findings and recommendations of ILP research and technical assistance activities over a six-year period.
An ILP is a planning document for secondary students that maps out a student’s career interests, aptitudes, and courses to achieve college and career goals. Thirty-eight states and the District of Columbia use ILPs as part of their college and career readiness strategies.
Housed at IEL, NCWD/Youth is a technical assistance center funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy.
