These ensure that our Hawaii-based team develops in ways that embrace and celebrate the rich diversity of our community, as well as encourage individual growth and development. Their approach has not only fostered inclusivity within the system’s change work being promoted, but has also strengthened connections between schools, local organizations, and families. By endorsing collaboration while advocating for the individual, the IEL team has helped create an environment that builds capacity amongst our Community School’s of Hawaii team which empowers every stakeholder of community schools: from students, families and staff, to community partners and beyond.
