Overview
Multi-faceted position providing on-going administrative, logistical and programmatic support to IEL Director of Leadership Programs and Project/Program staff. Looking for a motivated teammate who wants to grow within the organization, bringing event-planning experience and an interest in education.

$45,000-55,000 based on experience
Core Responsibilities
National Family and Community Engagement (FCE) Conference Support (75%)
• Lead the logistical planning and assist with programmatic elements of the National Family and Community Engagement Conference
• Ensure the accuracy and functionality of the CVENT registration system and event website
• Coordinate Request for Proposal (RFP) process for FCE workshop presentations
• Communicate in timely fashion with conference attendees via email and phone
• Recruit new conference attendees via research and event attendance
• Assist in the preparation of all pre- and post-event materials such as surveys, budgets, fundraising letters, and event reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
Administrative Support (25%)
• Work closely with Director of Leadership Programs on all aspects of office systems and management
• Maintain routine communications with networks, manage the website(s) and online community
• Maintain databases and other contact information for various networks including District Leadership Network on Family and Community Engagement, the FCE Network and the Leaders for Today and Tomorrow network
• Coordinates the dissemination of project/program publications and newsletters, produce a variety of program materials (i.e., conference program book, marketing materials, infographics)
• Provides logistical and administrative support in planning, organizing and implementing conferences, retreats, and other types of IEL meetings.
• Conducts research upon request
• Assist with financial management
• Recruit and directly supervise intern(s)
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Large event and meeting planning experience (familiarity with CVENT is a plus)
• Excellent time-management and strong organizational skills
• Detail oriented and efficient
• Documented capacity to work effectively independently and as a team member and with colleagues of all levels, as well as on independent projects with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and take instructions from multiple people
• Experience with various software packages: Microsoft Word, Access, EXCEL, PowerPoint applications; some experience with web-related software preferred
• Capacity to learn quickly and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
