The lecture and youth award, now in its second year, serves as an ongoing tribute to AYPF founder and former IEL president Sam Halperin (pictured right), who dedicated his life and career to improving youth education, workforce, and policy outcomes. Halperin also helped to personally mentor many youth and young adults in their careers in public service., Through this award, AYPF and IEL hope to honor and continue his work.
