For a half-century, the Institute for Educational Leadership (IEL) has championed the need for leaders at all levels to shake off their institutional constraints and work across boundaries to address the needs of young people and their families. IEL serves as a catalyst that helps policymakers, administrators, and practitioners at all levels to bridge bureaucratic silos and undo gridlock to improve outcomes for all young people and their families. The organization connects families, schools, and communities; builds more effective pathways to adulthood; and prepares generations of leaders.
IEL is home to the Education Policy Fellowship Program, the Center for Workforce Development, the Coalition for Community Schools, and the Family and Community Engagement network. IEL’s programs have helped define national and state policies in education and workforce development, enabled leaders to build collaborative strategies that get results, and assisted practitioners to implement best practices.
This position will engage in hands-on development efforts to support IEL’s various advancement projects, upcoming conferences, and visibility efforts.
This is a 2-3 days/week internship for the Fall 2017. Weekly schedule, as well as start and end dates are flexible. A daily stipend of $25/day is available for up to three days a week.
