In Appreciation of Harold “Bud” Hodgkinson

Harold “Bud” Hodgkinson, former director of the Center for Demographic Policy at IEL, passed away on March 4, 2016. Below is a note about Bud by IEL president Marty Blank.

Harold “Bud” Hodgkinson was one of a kind. He helped people love numbers – less in the more tehcnical way that is happening in today’s data-driven culture, and more in a way that helps people understand how our society is changing. His death is a reminder of how important it is for our society to have individuals who can explain what the demographic future will look like or what the problem is that we all must face.
